Christmas Gift Guide 2019: Luxury Beauty

I love writing Christmas gift guides but especially the luxury ones, because when else other than Christmas (and your Birthday, perhaps), you can get away with asking for something high-end? Or, maybe, getting a real treat for your loved ones or even for yourself?

So here are my top picks when it comes to luxury beauty products. And I’ve included only the things which I’ve tried myself and loved, or the things that I think deserve attention.

And, yes, I am aware that it is only October but I know a lot of people who like to plan in advance.

This is the ultimate beauty gift, in my opinion. My husband very kindly got it for me last Christmas, and it was one of the best gifts ever. It is worth £600 so £215 is a bargain, if I dare say so.

Alternative:  I have posted a lot of other Advent Beauty Calendars on my Facebook page.

There is something so special about the Goutal Paris perfumes (the brand was called Annick Goutal previously). The scents are exquisite and sophisticated, the bottles are gorgeous and elegant. If money was not an option I would love to have a whole wardrobe of their beautiful fragrances. But, as for now, I am really enjoying Rose Pompon. Also worth mentioning that the brand recently released alcohol free scents.

Alternative:  Frederic Malle, Le Labo, Jo Malone, Jo Loves.

3. Foreo Gadgets, £119 for a small one or £169 for a big version from Cult Beauty and Nordstrom.

Brilliant Swedish brand which offers a big variety of facial cleansing and massaging devices, toothbrushes and more. Not only the design is Scandi-chic,  the gadgets  last forever (here, here, here are mine) but they also are very effective.

4. Omorovicza Skincare Sets Replenish & Restore Collection shown, £95 from Cult Beauty

It’s not a secret that am a big fan of Omorovicza, and, obviously, had to include their sets in the guide. My skin loves it, and that justifies the price tag for me. The set I’ve chosen includes: Miracle Facial Oil (30ml) Rejuvenating Night Cream (15ml), and Omoressence (50ml) .

Alternatives: 111skin, Anne Semonin. Both brands with a hefty price tags which I’ve tried some products from, and loved.

5.  Luxury Hair Care:  Leonor Greyl, Long Hair Volume Set, €120 from

I love me a luxury hair care products, and Leonor Greyl is as good, as it gets. Everything I’ve tried from the brand was exceptional quality: sublime scents, high performance and the French vibe.

The set I am featuring is available from the brand’s website and includes: The shampoo Bain volumateur aux Algues 200ml, The hair mask Masque Fleurs de Jasmin 200ml, The styling product Mousse au Lotus volumatrice 150ml, The heat protecting mist Condition naturelle 150ml

Alternatives: Philip B, Christophe Robin.

6.  Anya Smells, Diffuser Lollipop (Blackcurrant Leaves & Rose) £99 from Cult Beauty.

I do love nice diffusers but I’ve never spent £100 on one  myself, and, while I can’t see that happening any time soon, this one looks so unique and quirky that I can’t imagine someone not liking it. Also blackcurrant and rose sound right up my street. But they also have different scents and slightly different design, as well.

Alternatives: You can always get Diptyque or Jo Malone but I am voting for Anya.

Gucci Westman really knows the craft of makeup, and over the years she created some of the most iconic looks, so she is definitely someone I’d buy makeup from. Although I still haven’t tried anything from the brand, I would definitely want to. I really love the idea of everything, it is pure luxury, so, as you’d expect, comes with the according price tag.  Her newest addition to the line is a  £58/$62 mascara.

8.  Makeup: Kjaer Weis from Cult Beauty

Another make-up artist’s brand,  by the brilliant Dane Kirsten Kjaer Weis. It is a luxury organic range  with beautiful refills.  The brand  has been around for a while but somehow I still haven’t tried it, although I can’t imagine not liking it.

Shown is the Pencil Kit set which retails for €131 and is available from the website

9. NEOM Diffuser £90 + £60 oils from John Lewis

Buying candles all the time can be an expensive habit, this is  why investing in a diffuser is a great idea but, more importantly, the high quality essential oil blends.  While you could probably get a  cheaper diffuser, definitely do not save on the oils, they have to be the best you can afford, as that is what makes the difference. NEOM products are lovely in general so I would assume these are not an exception.

10. More Skincare: Elemental Herbology (here and here) Skinesis(here)

While being expensive, these two brands are more  bank balance friendly, than some that I’ve already mentioned. I am not naming any specific products, but I’ve tried quite a few from both brands and was a fan of everything. EH and Skinesis are just worth checking out.

EH from Feel Unique; Skinesis from from Cult Beauty,, Selfridges, Harrods, Feel UniqueLook Fantastic.
